More performance at lower operating costs
With the XAHS 408 and XAVS 378 you can significantly increase your productivity in sandblasting, drilling in marble quarries, blast-hole drilling, special civil engineering drilling and many other applications. With up to 24 m³/min air flow at 8.6 bar, this compact compressor (still under 3,500 kg in full equipment) is your perfect partner.
Performance boost
Combining the Atlas Copco screw element with a stage V-compliant engine increases the available air flow. That is why these compressors are up to 6 % more efficient than comparable models.
Easy maintenance
Maintenance-related downtime has been reduced to a minimum: the easy-to-open pressure vessel cover allows the oil separator element to be replaced in less than an hour, and thanks to the patented bayonet lock you can even change the oil filter without any tools. The large side doors provide easy access to all service points. The compressor oil change interval has been extended to up to 1,000 hours or two years.
Protecting your investment
The XC2003 controller with PACE technology allows the pressure to be set in 0.1 bar increments between 5 and 14 bar – so the compressor can be used for a wide variety of applications. All components are tested for the toughest operating environments: the controller has IP65 protection against dust and water, and the canopy is protected against rust by a three-layer coating of corrosivity category C3. These features increase the resale value of your equipment at the end of the investment cycle.
With respect for the environment
The compressors come with a closed floor pan with 110 % containment volume as standard. It prevents environmental contamination should operating fluids leak at the place of use. The stage V-compliant Cummins diesel engine also reduces fuel consumption by up to 6 % compared to conventional compressors.
The most flexible one wins: PACE & ECO mode
PACE technology redefines the relationship between pressure and flow: a compressor with PACE can cover the application needs of an average of three compressors with fixed pressure settings – switching between presets at the push of a button, pressure adjustment with three clicks, setting in 0.1 bar steps. In ECO mode the compressor automatically switches between load operation, idle and pressure-free state, saving up to 50 % fuel in some applications. An air discharge sensor detects air demand and triggers pressure build-up again – work can be resumed within a very short time.
Options & equipment
Support-mounted or loading frame · adjustable towbar with gas spring support · jockey wheel · towing eyes (DIN, ITA, NATO, BNA, ball coupling, car coupling) · road lighting system · FleetLink · air treatment: aftercooler with water separator, bypass valve, PD filter · inlet shut-off valve · spark arrester · cold start · aluminium fuel filler neck. As all models weigh less than 3,500 kg, no air brake is required – high manoeuvrability included.
