In detail

Drilling depths of up to 500 metres per day – the DrillAir Y35

Lower costs per metre

When drilling at a pressure of 30–35 bar, you achieve more drilling metres per hour with lower total costs per metre at the same time. Drilling depths of 500 metres per day are achievable with the DrillAir Y 35.

Wide working pressure range

The pressure can be set anywhere between 15 and 35 bar – thanks to Extended Pressure Range (XPR) technology, which makes it possible to drill faster and deeper. The compact and efficient DrillAir Y 35 reduces the time and cost of geothermal drilling and sets new standards in drilling efficiency.

Dynamic Flow Boost technology

With the integrated Dynamic Flow Boost technology, the flow can be increased from 34.8 to 39 m³/min (650 l/s) – for faster flushing and refilling of the drill string and savings of up to 30 minutes per day.

Fuel-efficient and sustainable

The DrillAir Y 35 consumes less than 2.2 litres of fuel per metre drilled (depending on operating parameters). The engines used reduce particulate and nitrogen oxide emissions by 50 to 96 % compared to previous models. AdBlue® is used for exhaust aftertreatment – we are happy to support you with fuel and AdBlue® management.

Xc4004 – smart air controller

The controller for large compressors and boosters (from 25 m³/min) offers comprehensive diagnostic functions with 15 parameters and histograms, FleetLink telematics as standard, IP67 protection against water and dust, an optional second control unit and remote monitoring via mirror box (remote control).

Typical industries and applications

Water well drilling: reaching deep water sources – constant, powerful air supply for efficient drilling, especially in water-scarce regions.

Geothermal drilling: boreholes several hundred metres deep to hot geothermal sources – constant performance even under extreme conditions.

Oil and gas industry: exploration and production in difficult geological environments – speeds up drilling and lowers total operating costs.

Mining and quarries: deep drilling in solid rock, operation of percussion drill hammers, blast preparation.

Geotechnics: subsoil testing and soil investigations – fast, accurate drilling optimises the construction process.

Pipeline construction: drilling for pipe laying through rocky ground – fast and efficient.

Core drilling and exploration: high air volumes for deep rock layers and geological sampling.

Tunnelling and infrastructure: underground shafts, road and railway tunnels – large volumes of compressed air for drilling and blasting.

Offshore drilling: reliable, constant pressure even under rough conditions – easy to transport onto platforms.
