How it works

From enquiry to return

01

Enquiry

Tell us the period, pick-up date, what needs cleaning and whether you have rented from us before.

02

Quotation & booking

We put together blaster, compressor, hose length and dry ice. You pay rent and dry ice in advance – then we order the dry ice fresh for your date. A cancellation or refund of the dry ice is not possible.

03

Pick-up & induction

You collect everything at our yard in Hanhofen. New customers receive a full induction (one-off €95 net).

04

Use & return

Return the equipment to Hanhofen – clean and with the compressor fully fuelled (diesel, AdBlue if fitted); otherwise we clean or refuel and charge the effort.

Safety first – transporting dry ice: dry ice releases carbon dioxide (CO₂), not carbon monoxide. In a closed car without a partition, CO₂ can accumulate in the passenger compartment. Please collect dry ice with a van with a partition to the cab or with an open trailer, ventilate the load space, secure the boxes and air the load space after arrival before entering.
Check before pick-up: we check your vehicle registration certificate at pick-up. If the permitted braked trailer load (field O.1) does not match the compressor (XAS 188-14: 2,340 kg, XATS 138: 1,580 kg), we are not allowed to hand it over. Please bring the registration certificate and a matching driving licence, and make sure your towing vehicle has a tow hitch and a working 13-pin trailer socket – we do a light test at pick-up.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to rent a dry ice blasting machine?

The White Lion WL 3000 Profi costs €150 per day net, €130 per day from the 6th working day and €110 per day for monthly rentals. The minimum rental is 2 rental days. A matching compressor such as the Atlas Copco XAS 188-14 also costs from €150 per day; dry ice is approx. €170 per 100 kg, plus the damage waiver fee of 10 % of the rental price.

Do you deliver?

No. We currently do not deliver rental equipment. You pick up blaster, compressor and dry ice at our yard in Hanhofen (An den Gewerbewiesen 17, 67374 Hanhofen, Germany) and return everything there. We give you an induction at pick-up.

What does the induction cost?

New customers renting from us for the first time receive a full induction at pick-up for a one-off fee of €95 net. The complete set of blaster, compressor and accessories is worth more than €75,000 – so we take the time to make sure everything runs safely.

Is there a minimum rental period?

Yes, 2 rental days. A rental day covers up to 8 operating hours Monday to Friday; the weekly price applies from the 6th working day.

When do I pay?

In advance. You pay rent and dry ice before your date; only then do we order the dry ice fresh for your pick-up day. Paid dry ice is ordered specifically for your date. It can neither be stored nor returned to the supplier – a cancellation or refund of the dry ice is therefore not possible.

Is there a deposit?

Yes. Our complete set of dry ice blaster, compressor and accessories is worth more than €75,000. We therefore charge a deposit per machine; we state the amount in our quotation.

What do I need to pick up the compressor?

A towing vehicle whose permitted braked trailer load (field O.1 of the registration certificate) matches the compressor – XAS 188-14 2,340 kg fully fuelled, XATS 138 1,580 kg –, a matching tow hitch, a 13-pin trailer socket and the right driving licence (usually German class BE). If the trailer load does not match, we are not allowed to hand over the compressor.

How do I transport the dry ice safely?

Safety first: do not load dry ice into a normal car without a partition to the passenger compartment. Dry ice sublimates and releases carbon dioxide (CO₂) – not carbon monoxide – which can accumulate in a closed vehicle and cause headaches, shortness of breath and, at high concentrations, unconsciousness. Use a van with a partition between load space and cab or an open trailer, ventilate the load space, secure the boxes and air the load space after arrival before entering.

How much dry ice do I need per day?

Plan around 300 kg for a full blasting day and often 100 kg for short jobs. The WL 3000 Profi uses 20 to 120 kg per hour, in practice usually around 50 kg. Dry ice comes in insulated boxes of 100 kg each (approx. 50 × 60 × 70 cm).

Do I have to return the equipment clean and refuelled?

Please return compressors fully fuelled (diesel and, if fitted, AdBlue); otherwise we refuel and charge the effort. Please also return the equipment clean – a short blast with the dry ice is usually enough, we show you how at the induction. Otherwise we are happy to clean it, charged by effort (up to €1.50 net per minute according to our rental terms).

Which protective equipment do I need?

At least hearing protection, safety goggles or face shield, cold-protection gloves, protective suit and a dust/filter mask. Large blasters reach up to 119 dB(A) according to the manufacturer.

Can I see the machines before renting?

Yes. We demonstrate dry ice blasters and compressors by appointment at our yard in Hanhofen near Speyer.
